Looking for a Kos beach holiday Casa Paradiso is well worth a look

Grecotel Casa Paradiso

Pyli, Marmari, Kos, Greece

We booked through Jet2, for 1 week, in October half term, we have always had a good experience with Jet2 and this time was no different, transfers to the hotel from Kos Airport were advertised as an hour max, but perhaps being end of season, there was only our hotel and 1 other, so total duration was 25 minutes.
We received a warm welcome from the reception staff on arrival, who took our bags and delivered them to our room for us once we had checked in.
The facilities included, but not limited too.

- Pool and table football
- 2 x water slides 🛝
- 2 x pools
- A very Sandy, scenic and beautiful beach, a 2-minute walk from the pool and snack facilities. (Pedalos and Kayaks on the beach are included in your holiday / all-inclusive price, not that we took advantage of these)
- Inside and outside gym
- Outside Cinema
- Tennis courts
- Sand pit and mini play park for small children
- Kids club

We stayed in one of the Garden apartments for a family, the decor was traditional in style, clean and tidy, with a balcony.
One double and one single bed, which were comfy and of a decent size.
Extra pillows and sheets are available FOC
There is a small Shop which has a mixture of things including food, toys and souvenirs.
We found the food very much to our taste, lots of choice and the overall standard was very good.
For every meal time, there was a BBQ / grill counter outside which offered lots of different foods and options.
All meals including the BBQ were buffet style and included but not limited too, Salads, fruit, pastries, chicken, pork, occasional Vegan hot options, Beef, fish,  fresh pizza, pasta, rice, soup, various potato options including chips, mixed veg dishes , Pancakes, French Toast, the list goes on and on.
You can choose to dine either indoor or outdoor.
If you are a cat lover then you will enjoy the friendly  hotel cats and kittens who love affection and attention.
The 2 pools are a good size with comfy Sun loungers and the pool by the beach is where the slides are located and has lots of snacks on offer along with both alcoholic and non alcoholic drink options.
My wife and son enjoyed the crepes and waffles.
Our last day was the last day of the season for the hotel, so there wasn't a great deal of entertainment on offer that week, but judging by our experience overall I would imagine it would be good and in-line with the rest of the facilities throughout the year.
There is a Wattsapp facility, so if you do have any questions or need anything, we found it very useful and efficient.
When it became time to checkout, we were given late  checkout for free, which meant that we had the room all day, which was very nice and meant that we could still relax and enjoy our last day.
On the return coach journey the transfer was only 15 minutes as we were the only hotel on the coach.
The coaches on both transfers were modern, clean, tidy and comfy.
Overall, we had a great holiday and would definitely go back.
We found it very relaxing, the staff very helpful and polite and the location was lovely being right next to the beach.

Stirling Castle and the William Wallace Monument, the best start to our Scottish Castle Tour

STIRLING CASTLE AND THE WILLIAM WALLACE MONUMENT First stop on our Scottish 4 day Castle Tour (by car) Stirling Castle seemed familiar to me, mainly, because it reminded me of Edinburgh Castle, a very impressive position perched atop its intrusive crag, well preserved also, we really enjoyed our visit with lots of different areas to see and explore. The views are stunning and stretch as far as the eye can see in all directions, the location of the castle was no accident. You can see Bridgehaugh, right next to Stirling Old Bridge which was the site of the battle of Stirling Bridge where in 1297 William Wallace defeated an English army.  With its place in history, we had to visit on our trip. Whilst in Stirling, we ignorantly stumbled across the William Wallace Monument, due to its unique shape, design and significance we found it to be another highlight of the trip. It’s a must, it’s quite daunting when you climb to the top and realise how high up you are. The views are very impress...

Thinking about Lostwithiel Cornwall? Check out our best 10 attractions including Spectacular Beaches with photographs.

Location, Location, Location   This visit to Cornwall was a business trip, so we chose The Fowey Valley Hotel in Lostwithiel due to its ideal location for us, although Lostwithiel is a small town it’s location is well positioned if you plan on visiting the local scenic quaint harbours and beaches.  The Fowey Valley is a very reasonably priced hotel with good facilities, and comfortable furnishings, the food was very good, both the evening meal and breakfast with a good selection.                              We found the staff very efficient friendly and accommodating. There is plenty of free parking on site, but make sure you remember to register your car at reception to avoid fines.  We visited the following places before we ran out of time. - Looe, 26 minute drive - Polkerris, 15 minute drive ( a lovely place to enjoy a warm evening either in the Rashleigh Arms...
