Has your Facebook account been hacked and or disabled? Here is how I got my account back and I want to help you get yours back too.

Facebook Account Retrieval

A little bit out of the norm from my usual posts, but I wanted to help anyone that has found themselves in this situation.

My Facebook account was hacked and disabled in October 24, only being a regular normal ( non paying) user of FB, I really didn't know how to try and get my account reactivated?!

Here is the solution, to avoid you wasting time on other methods and channels.

FB sent me no correspondence or advice after my account was disabled on how to contact them or resolve the situation.

After spending a considerable time scrolling and searching the internet along with trying to use the FB help centre, trying many different approaches, I finally found the solution.

As a free member, the support is extremely poor and limited depending on the scenario.

Other methods may work, but this is the only one that worked for me.

I tried all the free options first, with no result. Some of these email addresses may not be genuine so be careful, there are more, but none of them work, as there is not adequate resource to support the free FB accounts.

zuck@fb.com

security@facebookmail.com

support@fb.com (support@fb.com)

disabled@fb.com (disabled@fb.com)

appeals@fb.com (appeals@fb.com)

Accessibility@meta.com

Below are the steps I followed;

  • sent emails with evidence and proof to the emails that I listed - no response.
  • Followed appeal and hacked links via FB help centre - no success or response.
  • Followed the link / appealed to copyright issues, automated response via email, but no one followed up or responded.
  • Sent messages from my wife's FB account - no response
  • Sent messages from my Instagram account, to support and Mark Zuckerberg- no response
  •  Sent complaint email to Mark Zuckerberg - no response
  • Sent several emails to Attorney General in several states of US, after reading that this method worked online for someone  -  no response
  • Sent an email to the UK Attorney General - advised that they don't deal with individual complaints or members of the public.
  • Spoke with AI support through Instagram ( helpful but pointless as none of the suggestions worked)
  • Joined Twitter and sent messages to the support channels ( no response)
  • Rang citizens advice, couldn't help but advised I complain to FB.
  • Sent complaint letter to FB UK, responded straight away, but only to advise that I needed to contact Meta HQ in America.
  • Sent complaint letter to Meta HQ - no response.

Finally, the method that worked for me -

Instagram (join if you are not already) there is an option to become Meta verified which gives you direct access to support via live chat or email at a cost of £11.99 per month which you can cancel before the monthly renewal as long as it's cancelled by the required cutoff date.

Once I had joined, (which is easy) following the steps through settings and activity, Meta Verified, explained the situation and provided all of the evidence of the hack, my name, details relating to my account, and followed the steps to regain access, my account was back up and running within a day (including over night)

You will need to have an alternative email address to the one that was originally used on your account.

Everything with my account was as it was before the hack.

Ensure that you check registered devices and login attempts, delete any devices that aren't yours and alert Meta to any suspicious activity etc.

Also ensure that you setup 2 factor authentication for added security.

I hope you found this article helpful, if you need help or more info, message me directly for further advice on what I did next.

Stirling Castle and the William Wallace Monument, the best start to our Scottish Castle Tour

STIRLING CASTLE AND THE WILLIAM WALLACE MONUMENT First stop on our Scottish 4 day Castle Tour (by car) Stirling Castle seemed familiar to me, mainly, because it reminded me of Edinburgh Castle, a very impressive position perched atop its intrusive crag, well preserved also, we really enjoyed our visit with lots of different areas to see and explore. The views are stunning and stretch as far as the eye can see in all directions, the location of the castle was no accident. You can see Bridgehaugh, right next to Stirling Old Bridge which was the site of the battle of Stirling Bridge where in 1297 William Wallace defeated an English army.  With its place in history, we had to visit on our trip. Whilst in Stirling, we ignorantly stumbled across the William Wallace Monument, due to its unique shape, design and significance we found it to be another highlight of the trip. It’s a must, it’s quite daunting when you climb to the top and realise how high up you are. The views are very impress...

Thinking about Lostwithiel Cornwall? Check out our best 10 attractions including Spectacular Beaches with photographs.

Location, Location, Location   This visit to Cornwall was a business trip, so we chose The Fowey Valley Hotel in Lostwithiel due to its ideal location for us, although Lostwithiel is a small town it’s location is well positioned if you plan on visiting the local scenic quaint harbours and beaches.  The Fowey Valley is a very reasonably priced hotel with good facilities, and comfortable furnishings, the food was very good, both the evening meal and breakfast with a good selection.                              We found the staff very efficient friendly and accommodating. There is plenty of free parking on site, but make sure you remember to register your car at reception to avoid fines.  We visited the following places before we ran out of time. - Looe, 26 minute drive - Polkerris, 15 minute drive ( a lovely place to enjoy a warm evening either in the Rashleigh Arms...
